VET Accredited Assessment Guidelines

 

LikeaBoss.EducationTM is governed by Executive Training Group RTO: 107 108 (the RTO’s) training and assessment strategies and practices, including the amount of training they provide, are consistent with the requirements of training packages and VET accredited courses and enable each learner to meet the requirements for each unit of competency or module in which they are enrolled.

Our student services meet the RTO’s, national regulator – ASQA and industry standard benchmarks, inclusive of:

1. Training and assessment strategies and practices adhere to:
  • RTO’s training and assessment strategies and practices, inclusive of:
    • Clauses 1.1 to 1.4 and 2.2—Implementing, monitoring and evaluating training and assessment strategies and practices
    • Clauses 1.8 to 1.12—Conduct effective assessment
    • Table 1.8-2: Rules of evidence

2. Teaching, training and assessment resources:
  • Competency based training and assessment:
    • Catapult eLearning
      E-Learning or online learning resources via a library of interactive learning content and online assessments
  • Recognition of prior learning
  • Portfolios and e-portfolios
  • Related industry practice resources
  • Reasonable adjustment practices, to support and align to ACSF where applicable:
    • ACSF provides a consistent national approach to the identification of language, literacy and numeracy skills requirements in diverse work, training, personal and community contexts, and is a common reference point for describing and discussing performance within the five core skill areas of Learning, Reading, Writing, Oral communication and Numeracy. 

 

3. Student marking guidelines and practices adhere to:
  • Industry standard benchmark as expected by RTO and national regulator, outlined below:
    • Competency based training and assessment (including student submission) turn in times are outlined in the following:
      • RTO’s Training Assessment Strategy
      • Student training plan and learning program outline and timetable
      • Individual student support learning plan, where applicable
    • Trainer and assessors are unable to result  a unit competent if the assessment submission is not 100% complete
    • Student program and enrolment fee includes grading and resulting of maximum three assessment submission attempts
    • Student must apply themselves to the study outlined in program syllabus, meet training package requirements, utilise the extensive range of student support services available to them and if exceed three attempts, be prepared to service a re-assessment service fee
    • Student must turn in submission as outlined in learning program timetable
    • Trainer and/or nominated assessor may apply hard deadlines to support the success of completing the assessment submission within the agree program outline in preparation for grading and final resulting
    • Student assessment submission return time (marking period):
      • Industry standard, 7-14 days
    • Student turn in practice, completed by using Catapult eLearning and google drive:
      • Student assessment turn in is noted as an assessment attempt
    • Student exceeding three attempts and who are not meeting training package requirements, a reasonable adjustment practice has been approved by RTO, a re-assessment student service fee applies:
      • $50.00 per unit of competency
        • Applicable to reasonable adjustment based on ACSF consistent national approach to the identification of language, literacy and numeracy skills requirements, a maximum 5 attempts can be applied 

4. Re-assessment guideline practices adhere to:

  • Industry standard benchmark as expected by RTO and national regulator, outlined below:
    • The assessor will ensure the training program guidelines are applied as outlined in the:
      • RTO’s Training Assessment Strategy
      • Student training plan and learning program outline and timetable
      • Individual student support learning plan, where applicable
  • The Trainer and/or nominated assessor will ensure LikeaBoss.Education approval protocol is followed before commencing a re-assessment practice:
    • The student or/agency outlined in service agreement will be provided with quote and details of units of competency that are required to be considered for re-assessment, including next steps to prepare the student in advance
    • The quote is approved in writing by said student/agency
    • A tax invoice is prepared and payment to be processed before commencement, in timely manner or as agreed upon 
    • If written approval is not received the student will be resulted as per the last attempt received by the nominated assessment platform: Catapult eLearning and google drive
